Emma Kronman is an independent art advisor based in New York.

With nearly twenty years in the art world, Emma is a trusted expert whose specialist and marketplace knowledge extends from Old Masters into the 21st century. She advises clients with cross-category collections spanning antiquity to the present day on the acquisition and sale of works of art, as well as on the strategic development and long-term stewardship of their art holdings. Her clients include private collectors, foundations, and museums across the globe. Known for her scholarship, transparency, and integrity, Emma brings deep experience, curiosity, and an unwavering commitment to her clients’ interests to all she does.

Prior to working as an advisor, Emma served as Christie’s Head of Sale for Old Master Paintings in New York, and was a specialist in the department for six years. She has also held positions in the Robert Lehman collection at the Metropolitan Museum of Art; at Villa La Pietra in Florence; and at the Guggenheim Museum.  She has served as Co-Chair of the Young Leadership Council at the Brooklyn Museum and is a member of The Century Association in New York.

Emma received an MA at London’s Courtauld Institute, where she studied 13th and 14th-century Italian paintings, and a BA in Art History from Yale University.
